OUR FINAL RIDE

Our last ride in life will be an exquisite one. The angels will come, finding where we are by the bright glow surrounding us. It is our souls they see adrift, made up of a myriad of transparent colors, waves of purple, green, yellow, pink and white. With their immense and majestic heavenly wings, they will swoop down to pick us up and carry us, leaving a trail of light as they quickly disappear into the sky. Those we have left behind need only smile, as the journey to our glorious home has been filled with an unexplainable love, peace, and joy.

THE SHARING

"Among all things, who hasn't known that the LORD's hand did this, In whose grasp is the life of everything, the breath of every person?" Job 12:9-10

Job continues to be an inspiration on what faith is about. No matter how tough life got, he looked at life as something given to him by the Lord's hand. In his own pain, he knows that without God, there would be no air. Without the air, we cannot breathe in God's glory. Without His glory, there could be no excitement and anticipation of His Son birth, bringing a new beginning to the world. Because of His Son's later pain and sacrifice, mankind was saved. Mankind offers us the sharing of God's faith, love, peace, grace, joy and mercy, now and forever.

Wealth will buy a fine home, a fancy car and dream vacations. It does not buy God’s love, as it is free. He hands it out to all humanity, no matter the race, creed, color or religion. It does not matter whether one does or does not believe in Him. His silence is powerful, never discriminating. He breathes His love, equally, throughout creation.

WHAT IS FAITH?

What is faith?

It is to know that though

We cannot always see the sun,

It rises each day.

It is to know that though

We cannot always be in the

Same room of our loved ones,

We still love them deeply.

It is to know that though the night is black,

There is no emptiness within its vast darkness.

It is to know that though

We cannot see our Creator,

He is always there.

It is to know that though

We cannot touch Him,

He never stops touching us with

His blessings.

It is to know that in the darkness,

He is there to keep us safe

It is to know that no matter

What is given to us,

He is there holding us,

Never, ever letting us go.

ONE MORE

I do get phone calls, asking if I will help another child or teen to get up to speed, concerning what is behind our faith.  I never tire of these calls. Rather, I get excited, willingly ready to bring one more to the faith. I have found that I really do not bring only that one closer to God, I bring in the family. This has not my intention, yet I find what I say is then shared with others.  What a bonus from God!

Teaching about my faith is my passion. We all have passions. It may be the art of cooking, an art of helping another understand algebra, or an art of getting others involved in community service. I am blessed with the art of rhetoric, in the subject matter of how important God is in every moment of our lives. The more I understand about God, the more I want to share my knowledge with others. I go beyond the miracles of God, saying how we can have Him actively in our everyday lives.

I have been awed in how He has helped me; now I must awe others, through the Word  of God. It is fascinating to see how He is there, though we do not t expect Him to be. As I share my thoughts with others, it can bring an ‘aha!’ moment, or a smile on the face. All of us need a tap on the shoulder, telling us how God is there, even though we are not thinking about it at that specific moment.

All of us need to go beyond ourselves, seeing how we can help our brethren. Feel the touch of God, and reach out to others, through our words and through our actions. After all, we are to live our lives in the image of God. Take these words seriously.  Think about each thought, word or action taken. Is this how God wants us to deliver the message? Sometimes, we might catch ourselves, realizing what we are doing is really is not the way God wants us to be.  At these moments, we can only smile, asking God for forgiveness. If He sees our sincerity, we will be absolved, but we must continue on, living in the way God prefers.

I may be giving words of kindness to a nine year old, a 16 year old or someone who is 60. I never look at what I share as my words. They are what God has asked me to say. He continually talks to me, communicating His thoughts through me.  It is a privilege to share His Words. He has given me a gift, to make what He has to say to be of interest to others, to brighten their eyes, wanting them to spark an interest, excited to learn more.

I am not the only one with this gift.  Each person reading this has the same present. We have to do what God wants, not being timid to share His love for everyone. It is not always easy.  But, feel the strength of God, who is with us, no matter the second, minute, or hour of the day!!

VASTNESS

VASTNESS
As I envision the vastness of the sea, never seeing where it ends, my thoughts lead me to another vastness, that of Heaven. Up in the skies there is a mighty Kingdom, God’s Kingdom. It is flowing over with love, stretching into eternity. I try to conceptualize what Heaven looks like, knowing it is a nirvana of divine happiness. God provides His domain with peace, calmness, joy and serenity. The tranquility is one of pure bliss. It is time to relax in this harmonious world. There is no more grieving, sadness, pain, worries or judgment. They have been erased from the mind. It is time now to laugh, sing and dance, and even skip merrily if you want. No one will care.
Elegant pools are endless, holding clear, cold water, ever so pure. How fresh the water is, sipping it, tasting it. Awe-inspiring waterfalls hang over the edge of the pools, pouring their crisp sprays of water into the boundless gardens. Gardens of every kind permeate the Kingdom. There are simple gardens of petunias and massive gardens of iris and orchids, unleashing a fragrance of fine perfume. The lush greens and colors make it an enchanted dreamland. Stepping away from the gardens, there are more pools, this time brimming over with warm water. How nice it is to immerse into the pool, with only the gentlest of wave in it, providing a soothing sense of placidity to the soul.
In the distance, there is music heard. The angels are forever joyful, displaying their exuberance through song. Voices, harps and trumpets create a splendid symphony. There is no time in heaven, meaning there are always jubilant sounds heard, as the warmness of the sun radiates upon them.
This grand empire belonging to God holds the generations of loved ones who have left us. They are waiting patiently to grasp the hands of those who have departed from earth, welcoming them to their new home, a timeless life in Paradise.

CALLER ID

Imagine yourself being busy in your house, catching up on the endless cleaning, cooking and laundry.  The phone rings.  Thank goodness for Caller ID. You run over to the little screen to see who it is calling. It could be someone you are delighted to hear from, a diversion from your mundane tasks. On the other hand, it might be a 'courtesy' call, telling you your life would be better by taking a deal on light bulbs. You don't have time for such a call, nor do you care. Now, imagine looking over at the little screen and read that it is GOD calling you. Would you take the call? How much time do you have for Him? Saying to yourself “Maybe later; He can leave me a message,” is shutting Him out.  But, if you do answer, your life is changed forever. Your house now becomes a home, filled with His Spiritual love. By your answering, He is now there to answer you, whenever you call out to Him!

What If?

Our lives can be filled with "What ifs.." "What if I had left five minutes earlier? What if he had stayed home that night? What if I hadn't said what I did? What if I had done this instead of that?"  The problem is we cannot take back whatever we did, nor can we change the actions of another.  We can work ourselves up in worry about what happened, doing havoc to the body. It is not an easy time, but we must continue to feel the goodness of the Holy Spirit, working within us.  We have to turn it over to Him, because what has happened cannot be undone. In some cases, we may be able to say, "Next time..." But, it is the Holy Spirit's power of love which will begin the healing process. It may take a long time to heal, but the Holy Spirit is patient; we will never be deserted.  The glowing fire of the Holy Spirit will be surrounding us,  keeping  us going and giving us strength to meet each day!

Spirituality-What It Means To Me

1. First, I would define spirituality as a 'presence' I feel in myself and in others. It appears to have a calmness about it, which radiates from within. As it radiates, it transcends its calmness to the next person. A breath is inhaled, allowing the spirituality to enter, allowing this human being to also feel the calmness.
   
   Spirituality is seen in the eyes of the carrier, as they take on a glow of happiness. As they shine, it cannot be helped but to begin to feel the same luminosity within oneself, shining with the warmness of intense love and caring. It is God's own love and caring being present, as we absorb what those eyes are telling us.
   
   Spirituality is seen in the smile. The smile which is full of blessings, thanking God for the gift of life, for the gift of feeling His presence, no matter where the smile carries us. The smile spreads from one person to the next, as God fulfills each and everyone with His passion for all of His children.
   
   Spirituality is in the way one listens to another. It is taking time to hear what is being said, commenting on what is heard. It is taking the message told and acting upon it, whether it is with a hug, a prayer, or the lighting of a candle. It is being there for someone after knowing what has been told to another.
   
   It is felt within the heart. The heart is strong, filled with warmth, reaching out to others. It is going beyond oneself, to always offer a hand, an ear, a voice, an observance, to those surrounding us.
   
   It is understanding. No judgments are made. It is nodding one's head, in agreement to what is occurring in the lives of our fellow brethren. It is showing one will be there for our brothers and sisters, no matter what.
   
   It is acting upon faith and displaying faith. It is living the way God wants to to live, based upon our strong belief in Him. It is never giving up, to continue to live the faith, how having God in a one's life serves as a continuing inspiration so many can see how wonderful life is, in spite of the downfalls we endure.
   
   It is never feeling alone. It is knowing the Holy Spirit dwells within us, never leaving us, not even for a given moment. It is always feeling His love, warmth, care, attention and thoughts, day and night, throughout our lives, in this Kingdom and in the next.
