I CAN'T

Some days, “I can’t” comes out from the soul more than “I can.” Saying these negative words is a comfortable way to hide from what is ahead. Pausing in prayer, an image comes to mind, on what will be missing in life if thoughts remain the same. Looking back on the day, there are pleasant and exciting reflections, because of the change of mind.

SWEEP

Sleeping all day sweeps troubles away. However, it may also dissolve seeing sunrise and sunset, some of God’s greatest pieces of art. Waking up, with a good morning to our Lord, is great to start the day How empty life would be, upon awakening, not to have praising for God! Most important, it is to hear God’s Word, as we begin a new day!

WISE

As one of God’s children ages, wisdom grows. It is something good to keep in mind, bearing patience for those too young to have the experience of wisdom, and having respect for the elderly, listening to them, learning from their wise ways.

TAKING A BREAK

A common saying is, “We are taking a break right now from going to Church.” Taking a break is not what God can do. Stepping away for even a millisecond could cause disaster beyond words. Thank you, dear Lord, for always being there for us, no matter the time of night or day. How blessed we are!

PASSIONS AND DREAMS

How do we know if we are fulfilling what God wants each of us to do in life? Making time in the day provides time for contemplation and prayer. It is blissful, to hear His voice during these minutes in the day. A yearning could actually be a true calling in life. Listening to God’s voice empowers us to take a path only dreams have traversed. Passions have become a reality.

WEALTHY LOVE

Wealth will buy a fine home, a fancy car and dream vacations. It does not buy God’s love, as it is free. He hands it out to all humanity, no matter the race, creed, color or religion. It does not matter whether one does or does not believe in Him. His silence is powerful, never discriminating. He breathes His love, equally, throughout creation.

Grace IS amazing, as the well-known song tells us. It is through God’s grace the depth of every soul can feel the vision of the life it is to have. It will lead us to the unbelievable and unimaginable. God is always there, granting His children an amazing life!

WITHIN 60 SECONDS

Within 60 seconds, a rain can fall, leaving a beautiful rainbow. A baby can be born, bringing smiles around the room. A teacher can provide a piece of learning, a basis for gaining future knowledge. God’s Word can be read, giving valuable lessons, never growing old.

A CALMNESS

Responding to a frenzied person with a quiet, calming voice can work wonders. God’s peace will have the chance to intervene. The agitation is swept out to sea, leaving a crisp, clean and fresh start on the next moment in life.

WHAT DOES NOT CHANGE

Actions by others can affect one emotionally, mentally, spiritually, intellectually, or physically. Remaining untouched is the soul, hidden well within each human frailty. Only its owner and God have access to it. This cannot change. It is the heart of whom we are, no matter what happens to any other aspect of self.

WHAT IS AHEAD

The unknown can make the imagination roar. Praying to God, to help one through the current day, will fortify life as it is at the present. What happens tomorrow will be our Lord’s little secret.

THE REQUEST

In my dream last night, a little boy asked me to help him bury his kite. I asked him why. He said he had prayed to God for a string to fly the kite, but he did not get one. I told the child that sometimes, God makes you look for it, rather than just handing it to you. You learn experiences along the way, ones you will always remember. Soon, we were flying the kite, using a beautiful green ribbon. Laughing, we looked up in the sky, making cherished memories.
