SHOULD I OR SHOULDN'T I?

I notice a grandiose apple in the tree,
as I take my morning jog.
I pause to notice a reflection of red,
shielding my eyes, as I stand there agog.

My memory is jarred,
recalling I have been told,
that this is the tree in the garden
from which I must withhold.

Jeeps! Suddenly I see a snake!
It tells me to try just a bite.
The apple is truly juicy and delicious, it says,
Come on, do it to be polite!

That apple is tempting, I must say,
Now, the first decision ever has to be made,
Should I or shouldn't I?
Whoever said life would be a glass of lemonade!

Should I or shouldn't I,
The choice had been left to two of us,
each of of us ask,
over an apple, we are making a a tremendous fuss!

My oh my!
Hmmm, I must decide!
Sooo juicy, sooo delicious!
Oh my gosh, it has cost me my hide!

SOMETHING SWEET

It is midnight and my daughter just drove in for the weekend. Seeing me, she asked for something sweet. Smiling, I offered her my arms. She grinned, not exactly what she had in mind. Keeping a sense of humor is always a priority. Our spirits will be soaring high!

THOSE SAVED SEATS IN CHURCH

Our priest today reminded us to be a community, to not act as individual within our community. I immediately sat up straight in my wheelchair, wondering how I could improve myself. I began to think how to improve my life. Soon after Mass, two people shared with me how they were rather rudely treated by others as they took seats in the pew. It now made sense what Father was talking about. While I sit in the front row facing him, hischair facing us takes in all the more! While these two sat down to take a seat for Mass, the people by them didn't like their new seat partners, making obvious gestures and body language to let them know they were not invited in that particular row. How unnecessary, especially withing a spiritual setting. No matter the community, we are to be one, loving and accepting one another.

CLEANING

CLEANING

A stack of papers grows, until it is overwhelming. Attempt to work 15 minutes
daily to throw, save or put away. It’s a great time to pray to God while
cleaning. Tomorrow, there is another chance to clean. Be proud of your
achievement. A clearer mind helps to de-clutter the Spirit, leaving more time
for God.

AN ANNIVERSARY

Remembering past the first anniversary of friends and family is hard on the memory, but what happiness it brings. Jotting it down in a notebook is a simple task, bringing great joy. The spirit of goodness is spread among one another, bringing the grace of God to a special day!

HIS PAIN

As we get closer to Holy Week, let us remember Christ with any pain we are given, whether it be a headache, a stumble, a wait in line or a paper cut. His suffering will always be what is unimaginable, unexplainable, extraordinary, indescribable. Ours is minimal. We give thanks to the Son of God, child of Mary, for His suffering, saving us, empowering us with His love.

Motions

Motions are looking at the duties of an individual. Placing the letter “E” in front of ‘motion’ give a whole new meaning. Doing something out of love, ‘emotion,’ rather than going through the movements, gives a whole new meaning to love, renewing our Spirit, to want to always be there for others .

WHAT I HEAR

All that I hear right now is God in my mind. He is saying to bless all those not at peace, no matter the reason. May they find calm among the turmoil, that they be soothed where all the rough spots are. Be at rest, now. God is sending you extra love.
